Today, Kyle, Colsen and I went to the Spring Fling at the Houstonian. We had a great time!! Colsen got to participate in his first Easter egg hunt. The hunt was divided into age groups. Colsen was in the 0-3 year group. It was a bit crowded, but I was able to find an open space and explain what you had to do, pick up an egg and put it in your basket. Colsen began to get the idea, but then all the eggs were gone. I know he will have a few more opportunities to hunt, so he will be a pro by the end of this Easter season. On our way to the petting zoo, we stopped to say hello to the Easter bunny, and that's about all Colsen wanted to do with the Easter bunny. We'll see what happens when my dad and I take Colsen to see the Easter bunny next week and it's time for the picture. We made it to the petting zoo and Colsen seemed to really enjoy watching the goats and sheep. He didn't want to get to close, but when he saw a goat eating he took a chance a petted a goat. As you know from previous posts, Colsen LOVES dogs and every time he sees one, he woofs. Well... he also woofs at any animal that he doesn't know the sound for. So.. today while he was looking at the goats and the sheep, he kept saying woof, woof. It was really cute!! After the petting zoo, we went over to the pony rides. When we had come to the Fall Festival Colsen loved the pony rides, well... not today. Colsen wanted nothing to do with the pony. Kyle and I both tried to get him on, but on all attempts Colsen screamed. He did get a chance to pet the pony and that was okay. Kyle and I weren't going to push it. We noticed that there was a little kids moon walk. We took Colsen and went over to check it out. We both thought Colsen would love this, but the big question was, is he ready and is he big enough? We decided to let him in and see what happens. Well... as soon as Colsen got in he LOVED it!!!! In fact, when it was time, we couldn't get him out. We had to get the volunteer to go in and get him. Then after we went to go see something else, he ran back over and was trying to climb back in. So, we took off his shoes again and let him go. I can't tell you how much this child LOVED the moon walk. Kyle and I decided we need to get him something like this for the new back yard. We will also be heading do the nearest bounce house this summer in Charlotte. We had a fantastic time at the Spring Fling and it was a fun way to kick off the Easter season!!! Like I said earlier, Colsen and I are heading to Mandeville this week to hang out with Grandaddy, while Grami is in Raleigh taking care of Audrey. We are very excited!!! Since Kyle works in Detroit, he has landed some Final 4 tickets. So he and his dad will be watching some great basketball and having a fun time. I will try to post will I'm in Mandeville.
I give Colsen a little tutorial on hunting Easter eggs.

He's looking around, and taking it all in.

Now, he's got it!!!
