Happy Father's Day and Weekend!!

We had a great Father's day weekend! Daddy surprised us by getting home early on Friday! We celebrated by going an eating some Yummy Mexican food!

On Saturday, Colsen and I got up and made Daddy's favorite breakfast, French Toast! This was my first time to make it! It turned out pretty good! I can't wait till I'm in my new kitchen with all of my cooking stuff! After breakfast we got dressed and decided that we would make a short road trip to Hickory, NC which is only about an hour away! When we first told people that we were moving to Charlotte everyone told us about the great furniture deals and that Hickory was the place to go. This seemed like a good weekend to go. We are primarily looking for a new kitchen table and chairs. Kyle is going to use our current table for his desk in his office so we will need a new one. We only stopped at one location, but WOW!! It was this giant building, with all kinds of furniture!! Kyle and I were a bit overwhelmed!! I did find one table and chairs that I really liked. It's hard to know exactly what to look for when kitchen isn't finished. Like I said, we were only able to go to one place. Colsen is not the greatest furniture shopper. He does however, love to run around and crawl up on any piece of furniture that he can reach! Kyle and I know that we will have to make a return trip after the house is finished and the grandparents can come and play with Colsen!

On Sunday, Kyle slept in! He has been working LONG hours at work, 12-14 hour days! GM is keeping everyone VERY busy!!! Everyone got dressed and Kyle opened up his Father's day presents!! He loved them!! We then went to one of our favorite brunch places! After brunch, I was able to get some Father and son pictures. After nap time we hit the pool! We all had a great time, especially Colsen!! We all had a wonderful time celebrating Father's Day!! Thank you, Daddy for being such a wonderful provider and loving us so much!! And most importantly, thank you to Kyle's dad and my dad for being such Great examples!! We love you both sooo much!!!

A table and chairs that I really liked. I'm going to wait to see how the whole kitchen looks before we make a final decision.

Colsen and his loons-that's what he calls them! He can spot them a mile away!!

Colsen helping Daddy open his Father's Day presents!

Kyle's parents gave him a VERY sweet picture of Gran, Kyle and Colsen. It will be perfect for Kyle to hang in his office!

Now Daddy has a towel with his name on it!

Colsen and I also gave Daddy a Shutterfly book that he can take on the road!

Daddy showing Colsen the book!! I had so much fun putting it together!!

Taking some Father's Day pictures after brunch!

I guess I should have put them not the sun. :)

Colsen loves to play in water no matter where it is!

Daddy and his little guy in their matching seesucker! That of course, was Mommy's idea. :)

Pool Time!! These next pictures are of Colsen going in and out of the water fall! It has taken him some time to get used to it, but now he loves it!!
