Back to School!!

Back to school actually started on Saturday when I went to an open house at Colsen's new school to see his classroom and meet his teachers. Kyle and Colsen were supposed to come to, but on Friday night Colsen came down with a VERY bad case of hives and we spent the whole evening in the ER. Colsen was given some Benadryl and some steroid medication. You would have never known that he was feeling bad except for the fact that he had these horrible red hives all over his body and one of his eyes was swollen. We didn't get home until midnight and Colsen didn't get to bed until around 1. Kyle and I decided that if he had any red spots the next morning then I would got the open house and Kyle would stay with Colsen. Well as it turn out, Colsen did have spots so I went to the open house. Colsen has two great teachers that are going to love on him and teach him lots of great info.!!

Taking a few pictures with Daddy!

Mommy's Boys!!

Of course, Mommy wants her picture taken with her sweet boy!!

Say Cheese!!

Colsen's checking out his stuff before we go!

Come on Mommy and Daddy, let's go! I'm ready!!
I thought I might get a few pics outside, but all Colsen wanted to do is check out his new shoes!

Daddy helps me try to get a picture with Colsen in front of his classroom. It was a little crazy with everyone dropping off their kids at the same time. Colsen did great!! He didn't even cry. When he went in to his classroom he saw toys and other children and he was good! When his teacher tried to get Colsen to come say good bye to us, he just stood there and waved! I knew he was going to be just fine and have a wonderful day! I however, was sad. This is just another example of how my baby is growing up!! My sweet husband was so supportive and gave me a big hug as we walked out the door!!

Colsen had a GREAT day at school or "pool" as Colsen calls it! When we got home, Lolly and Gran had gotten balloons for Colsen as a back to school surprise! He LOVED them!!! All he did was run up and down the hallway, yelling "loons, loons" THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU, Lolly and Gran for the great surprise!!

I love Colsen's expressions on these next couple of pictures! He is so funny!!

What is this?
Update: I took Colsen to his doctor today and the doctor seemed to think that the hives were associated with some kind of virus and we will just have to let the virus take its course. It was a good thing that we were going to the doctor today because Colsen broke out in another batch of hives this morning. Not near as bad a Friday, but still he had hives on his body. As of this evening they were just about gone. I am hoping that he will be able to go back to school tomorrow for his second day of "pool"
