Happy Valentine's Day!!

We started celebrating Valentine's day a little early. Since Valentine's day is on Sunday I knew we wouldn't have time for a big breakfast so on Saturday morning, I made a valentine breakfast complete with heart shaped pancakes. These pancakes were so good!! I got the recipe from Southern Living!! I'll post the recipe soon!! It was such a fun way to get the day and weekend started!! On Sunday, after church and lunch and before nap time we opened our cards and gifts! Colsen was so excited and you will see why when you see the pictures. We had such a WONDERFUL Valentine's day!! Thank you to my sweet husband for making is so special!!

Wow!! A heart shaped bottle complete with a squiggly straw!! I had so much fun putting Colsen's Valentine's gift together. For the last month, I've been collecting things that weren't expensive but I thought he would like. It was so fun for me to see his reaction!!

Now opening his gift from Lolly and Gran! He was so excited about his truck stickers!!

And he got a book to go with his big gift! We was so excited to see a book about a garbage truck! I can't even begin to tell you how much he LOVES garbage trucks and everything that goes along with them. When he sees a dumpster he says hello even when we are just driving through a parking lot in a shopping center that has them. In one particular shopping center there is a restaurant that we go to often. They have dumpster just down from the restaurant and Colsen insists Daddy take him to see it. It's the funniest thing!!

After all that, you can understand why this is such a great gift!! Colsen was beyond excited when he saw it!!

Thank you Lolly and Gran!!! Colsen LOVES it and plays with it EVERYDAY!!!

It is a really neat truck!! It has a garbage can that attaches and there is a lever that will raise to dump the can and lower it back down.
