Sunday afternoon after nap time we headed over to our friends house for Easter dinner. Kari (Jake's Mom) did an AMAZING job!! The dinner was delicious!! The best part of the evening was watching Colsen over coming his fear of Jake's Power Wheels jeep. Before dinner, we headed outside to play. Jake got his jeep out and began to ride around. Kyle and I asked Colsen if he wanted to ride and he immediately responded with, "no"! Every couple of minutes we would ask him if he wanted to ride and he would say, no. Well, after 15-20 minutes of this Colsen's curiosity trumped his fear and he got in the jeep and Jake took him on a ride. He did really well until Jake made a turn and that was it. Colsen wanted out. Kyle were so proud of him!! He had at least tried it and that's all we wanted was for him to try. After dinner, we came back outside play some more and to have more fun with the jeep. We asked Colsen if he wanted to get back in the jeep and he said no. About 10 minutes later we asked him if he wanted to drive and he said, yes and he crawled in. We were so excited for him!! In the beginning he looked like someone who was just learning to drive a standard. He got the hang of it and he was off. He did have a little trouble with steering but Mr. Andy(Jake's Dad) and Daddy helped with that. After a little bit, Jake was ready to have his Jeep back so Colsen scooted over and Jake got in the driver's seat. At first they started on the slow speed but it wasn't long and they were in the fast speed with Colsen telling Jake, "faster, faster"!! It was beyond cute to see these boys in the jeep. I can only imagine what the future holds! Kyle and I were so proud of Colsen for getting over his fear and trying something new. We are thinking that a jeep might be a fun birthday present!!

Looks like Santa may have to fit something really big down the chimney this year. 2010 may be the year of the Powerwheels to the Braden house! ;)
