The Bradens: Fun in the Sun!

On Saturday we headed out and went to one of our favorite shopping areas, Blakney! It is outdoors and has great stores. Two of my new favorite stores are Swoozie's and Pandora. Swoozie's is a gift and party supply store. It has super cute things!! Pandora is a jewelery store. It has all kinds of jewelry, but it's known for their charm bracelets. Kyle and Colsen gave me one for Mother's day!! It will be fun to watch grow with different holidays and celebrations! We did some shopping and then had some lunch! After lunch, we headed back to the apt. to take naps then it was off to the pool!

I can't even begin to tell you how much Colsen LOVES the water!! When we are driving and he sees a fountain he says, wa-wa meaning water. We get to the pool and he is ready to go!! He has no problem with the cool water, while Kyle and I need time to adjust. Our new neighborhood has a great pool with a great pool for little ones. It has the mushroom water falls and has water spouts that come up from the ground. When you see the pictures you will understand. It also has a beach entry and lots of ledges for Colsen to sit and stand on. You will see from the pictures that Colsen is wearing what looks like a life jacket. Kyle and I wanted him to have something to help him be safe in water when he couldn't stand. He's still not ready for us to let go, but hopefully by the end of the summer he will feel comfortable enough for us to let go. I am thinking of signing him up for some Mommy and Me swim classes at the YMCA. I think that would be really good for him and for me. It would give me some ideas of how to help him get more used to the water. I'm just glad he's not afraid of the water. I know we will be spending lots of time at the pool! Colsen can't get enough of the wa-wa!!
