The first one is all about the move. I have to say the move went fairly smoothly. I didn't feel as prepared as the first one. On Thursday, after we closed, we picked Colsen up from school and went home for him to take a nap. While Colsen napped, Kyle moved things from the apt. to the house. He moved everything inside the apt. except for the furniture. Thursday night, Kyle's parents came into town to help us. They were a HUGE hlep!! They took care of Colsen and helped us unpack boxes! Lolly was a GREAT help in the kitchen with finding places to put things!! I should mentioned that on Thursday night Colsen started breaking out in hives again. I say again because he had them about three weeks earlier and the Dr. in the ER said that they were most likely due to a virus. After the ER visit on a Friday night we followed up with our pediatrician and he said that if it happens again to give Benadryl or Zyrtec. So this time when we saw the spots we knew just what to do give him Zyrtec. Well, by Friday morning they were gone and because Colsen wasn't running a fever, we sent him to school. That was the best decision because the movers were coming to move our furniture and all the boxes in the garage that we had been storing. He had a fun time a school much more fun than he would have had a home. By that evening the spots started coming back and by the next morning this is what they looked like. Needless to say, we headed to Urgent Care the very next morning. We were the seconds ones in line and we were in and out in less than 30 minutes with a prescription in hand. The Dr. gave Colsen a prescription for a steroid and told me to follow up with his Dr. and I did. On Tuesday morning, Monday was Labor Day, we headed to the Dr. and found out that this kind of reaction to a virus is very common and keep re-occurring up to six weeks. By Tuesday most of the spots were gone, but the Dr. said if I see them again to give Zyrtec and I could give it twice a day. Well this seemed to work because I haven't seen them since. Yeah!!! Below are pictures I took of his spots! Poor guy, the spots were very itchy!! As always he was a trooper and by his face and behavior, you would have never know he had a spot problem.
After the Urgent Care visit we came home to relax a little and enjoy some chocolate cream pie and the opening weekend of college football. Go Aggies!!
Kyle LOVES chocolate cream pie!! Colsen does too after just one bite!! Every weekend when Kyle gets home, Colsen starts saying, "pie, pie" It's really cute!!
