Labor Day at the DNC

Today Kyle and I thought it would be fun to head down to the Democratic National Convention and walk around and see what it was all about.  Especially since it was in our hometown of Charlotte, NC.  Today was Carolina Fest.  We were able to walk around freely and see different booths and where the media was going to set up.    We used  public transportation, The Lynx, train to get to up town where the convention was being held.   It was very easy and everything was running very smoothly.  We saw lots of cops and some of the cops were from Atlanta, Virgina, and Boston.  We felt a bit out of place but it was fun to walk around.  By the end we were ready to get back home.  A little too liberal for us!!  It was a fun time and it gave Kyle and I a chance to explain and show Colsen a little about the election process.  As we were driving to the train station we showed Colsen pictures of the president, his car, plane, and helicopter.  It is no surprise that he liked Air Force One and Marine One the best.  Over all it was a great way to spend a morning.
Colsen and BeHonk-BeHonk was were excited to see some of his family!

We never saw where the Fox News headquarters was but we did see them doing this interview.
The AARP had a booth and had cutouts of both candidates.  Kyle and I will be voting for this guy come November.  Seeing him was the perfect way to end the DNC!!
